As soon as the ball dropped and after we all screamed Happy New Year, my honey made a little speech- we hadn't even given our rounds of kisses yet!  I remember thinking, "Oh God, I hope he isn't kicking everyone out already!"

Then, surrounded by all our family and close friends, he got on his knee- everyone screamed, even through almost everyone knew.  What he said next was a blur, because I was in such shock I was laughing and turning away and just trying not to cry.  I said a low and shy "Yes".. nothing like my loud and fun personality at all!  Then he put the most beautiful ring on my finger...
